Participles are verb forms, but they are incomplete. In order to function as “real” verbs, they must be used with helping verbs. The terminology of the perfect can be a little confusing. Some traditional grammars often refer to the past perfect, present perfect, and future perfect as tenses; others reserve tense for the simple past, present, and future and refer to the perfect as a verbal aspect. Whatever you call it, the perfect brings the flow of time into play. Another response I could give, which uses a future tense would be ‘I’ll have eaten curry tonight’. This is the future perfect tense. So you might use this tense to say ‘If you come to my house at 10 o’clock tonight, I will have eaten my curry.’ So you’re meaning here, that by the time 10pm comes, my eating of curry will be complete.
